Most crested jackets start as a blank biker and get a patch stitched on after the fact. You can usually tell. The stitching sits proud, the leather puckers slightly around the edges, and the crest looks bolted on rather than born there.

RAVEN doesn't work that way. The back panel is cut and reinforced around the crest before assembly even starts. That means the leather backing behind the emblem matches the rest of the hide in weight and grain, so there's no stiff patch, no visible seam ring, no give-away edge. It reads as one panel, not a jacket plus an add-on.

Pick it up and you'll feel the 1.2mm naked cowhide before you notice anything else. It's stiff out of the box. That's the leather doing its job. Six months of wear and it'll start folding at the elbows and collar the way a jacket is supposed to. A stock jacket gets stitched fast because the cutter's already run that pattern a thousand times. Ours gets built once you commit. It's slower. It's also the reason the crest sits flush instead of floating on top of the leather like an afterthought.

Full-grain doesn't fake its age. It earns it. The grain will darken slightly at the fold points, the elbows will crease where your arms actually bend, and the brass zipper pull will pick up a duller shine after enough winters. Cheap corrected-grain leather cracks along the seams within a year or two. This won't. The surface just gets better looking the rougher you are on it.
